Making Life Long Memories

Welcome bags are as the name suggests, a goodie bag with gifts for your guests given to them at the start of your wedding weekend. They are a great way to introduce everyone to the weekend ahead and get them excited about your wedding. There are a few ways you can give them the bags or goodies to guests. They may find them in their rooms upon arrival or receive them upon check-in at their hotel.

When you plan a destination wedding or are having guests come from out of town, you’re asking them to travel to celebrate your love and marriage. It’s nice to offer them a gift as a token of appreciation for coming all that way. You can, of course, give everyone favours but an alternative is to welcome them to the destination with a bag of goodies. Some of your guests may have never been to this city or even country before. As a bonus, they’ll be reminded of the plans for the weekend.

Hello everyone! 🙂

I hope you all had a great week! Can’t believe we are in July now and that we are over halfway through 2020. I know for me and probably most people 2020 is going to be a year to remember for a lot for reasons we will quite happily put to the back of our minds!

I couldn’t get enough of talking about colours and their relationship with the four seasons! So, this week I wanted to hone in on a few other areas where colour can be inspired from. Colour is so versatile and it really helps to highlight something within your planning process to draw inspiration from.

As wedding planners, the venue is an important part of any wedding and plays a HUGE part in a lot of decisions throughout the process. It’s one of the first things (once confirmed) that we take inspiration from and when it comes to colour we can draw so much inspiration from a venue. This can be from the building itself or simply a fleck in the carpet of a ballroom. Crazy!

Aren’t we seeing some incredible weather at the moment?!! It’s making me so happy! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday? My day has been wonderful so far what with a delivery from the lovely Amie Bone with a stunning bouquet of flowers and also a delivery of incredible Brownies from our local and ingenious cake makers The Cake Architect – Lucky us! 😀 Though definitely going to need to let Matthew drag me out for a run this weekend! :O Head over to their websites to check them out, they are both soo good at what they do and are open currently, so please get ordering the flowers and cakes, you won’t regret it I promise!

We love planning weddings and intimately know what goes into creating an incredible, luxury event and let me tell you, it is a lot! This Olivers Twists teaches newly engaged couples what to expect from the planning and what a wedding planner can do to make the whole process fun and as stress-free as possible.
